2005-05-01 - 10:47 a.m. I couldn’t see him, as I looked around. He was playfully hiding from me by a pole. “Charley!” I said with a laugh when my eyes locked on him. He smiled a wonderful smile and the devilishness shined in his eyes. Immediately we went into a nice warm friendly hug, me having to stand on my tippy toes. “You look just like your photo,” he said with that devilishes smile. “So do you,” I laughed. We had to deal with the fact that I had made it on the little plain in Phoenix with only 30 minutes between my flights but ..... my luggage did not. It took my mind off how nervous I had become since I stepped off the little plane as I had only been excited to go on my adventure up until then. A paper was filled out with a promise that it would probably be on the 5:00 flight, the last little plane in for that day until morning. We chated on the drive to his place as my eyes scanned all the newness all around them. Mountains, a big lake, desert, birds I had never seen, wildflowers all over that I had never seen, clouds danced on their blue pallet, new sounds, new smells, Charley’s wonderful deep voice.... I was all most on sensory over load! “I wasn’t nervous until I got off the plane,” I finally confessed. “I wasn’t nervous until I saw the plane landing,” He confessed back and we both laughed. On the night stand at his place, was a bag all done up nicely with tissue coming out of the top and ribbon and a pretty flower tied to the handle. “That’s a little something for you,” He said with a little shyness. Inside was a pretty cloth bag with lavender in it, the smell I love, and a little flowered card that he had written “Welcome” in. I had arrived in Lake Havasu City Arizona. Welcome............
